OCS Seminar on Pellet Microplastic Prevention Certification within the Framework of the EU Green Deal
As a result of industrialization activities, pollution in the oceans and seas has been increasing day by day, negatively affecting marine life. In particular, in recent years, the issue of microplastics and the prevention of their release into nature has emerged as a vital concern. To prevent the loss and leakage of plastic pellets during their production, transportation, and handling in facilities—and to combat marine pollution, a global environmental problem, as well as the contamination of the seas with plastic raw materials from land—the global Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) initiative has been launched within the plastics industry.
Through this initiative, awareness, training, and auditing services are provided to ensure that plastic raw material pellets do not pose a threat to marine life. It is of great importance for companies operating in the plastics sector to obtain the internationally recognized OCS Environmental Certification in order to prevent pellet losses and reduce marine pollution.
In this context, the “OCS Seminar on Granule Microplastic Prevention Certification within the Framework of the EU Green Deal”, organized in cooperation with ITO and PAGEV, will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 09:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the ITO Assembly Hall.
