History
SEM Plastics Inc. stepped into the sector in 1975, with the production of technical plastic parts for the agricultural industry. Having served numerous companies in this sector up until the 80’s, SEM started producing products that are significantly more demanding in terms of technical prowess and quality management for the Electronics and Communications sector. With notable customers such as Alcatel and Northern Termal, this trajectory was followed until 1982, when the firm decided to move on to the Food Packaging Industry, focusing on market growth in the disposable product line.
Having memberships in organizations such as PAGEV, ISO, ITO and ASD; SEM cemented its quality assertions with certificates such as BRC-IOP, ISO9001, HACCP, TSEK and Tarim Koy Isleri Bakanligi Gida Sicili/Uretim Izni.
With production taking place in both the 8500 sqm Malatya facility and the 20.000 sqm Istanbul facility and a wide variety of products ranging from plastic cups, plates, injection forks, knives and printed cups, SEM is a market leader, shaping the future of the plastics industry globally.
