     Turkey is settling down

Do you know how many Turkish investors who have established business abroad and operate factories? They do what they did in Turkey now abroad. They are spreading Turkey's 90-year industrial and commercial experience towards the Middle East and Africa. They do not do this as “things are bad in Turkey, let's go look for our fortune in other countries”. On the contrary, they are building their own value chains in Turkey to further strengthen them. They're not closing their business here. They're making it stronger. The way to further strengthen our businesses is to make Turkey a country with a global or regional value chain. Recently, the environment is a global competition environment, there is no longer defense of the line, Sathi defense is saying that I'm trying to say a little bit. In this new period, it is the right time to take measures that will pave the way for our companies in the countries of the region and increase their mobility.  

It seems difficult to me either now or later.  Once the region is stabilized, there will be a lot of customers around here. We have to do what we have to do now. I knew Yavuz Eroğlu about two years ago. Then I learned how SEM Plastik works with a regional business model. Sem Plastik was among the fastest growing companies in Turkey between 2008-2010. Sales revenue was 73%. I'd like to point out, the era was a period of global crisis. The Turkish economy contracted by 9 percent in 2009. The crisis was indeed tangent to SEM Plastik. The company was producing plastic plates, glasses, mats. Yavuz Bey said to me when we first met: “technology in our sector changes rapidly every few years. New investment is always needed to catch the age. I've been thinking about what we can do with our brand-new machines, which have been running so fast for a while. I invested in Palestine. I sent the machines with the previous technology. Now I am manufacturing both Israel and the Arab market with my Palestinian partner in Hebron.” The company has entered the latest ISO1000 list. So it means? SEM spread the plastic production chain to the area. This operation has not reduced the size of the company's operation in Turkey. There is no line defense, Sathi defense, that's what I said. Know what I mean?     

I think that Palestine will be the first Arab country in which the manufacturing industry can develop rapidly.  Why? Five reasons why. First, from 1994 to 2011 in Palestine, the share of the manufacturing industry in national income declined from 19 percent to 10 percent. This means that it was a country that was already familiar with the Palestinian manufacturing industry, but the conditions of occupation that had become difficult in recent years have not cut off the lifeblood of the Palestinian economy. But the result is probably obvious: Palestine has an experienced workforce that has worked in its own manufacturing industry enterprises and even in Israeli factories in the past. Secondly, if you look at the educational statistics, the average level of education in Palestine is much higher than in Turkey. Palestinian universities are, in fact, institutions that can compete with ours. The links abroad have recently been weakened by the conditions of occupation and the appearance of constant instability. But I would especially like to express that the altar is in place. In terms of Higher Education, there is no need to cry for Palestine. I'd like to express it. The third is Israel's logistic infrastructure right next to Palestine, and of course, ports and roads are all very suitable for the manufacturing industry. Moreover, it is cheaper to send goods from Haifa port to America than to send them from Istanbul. Let me add that. Fourth, the whole Palestine is a giant qiz (qualified industrial zone). This makes it particularly easy to send goods to America. Palestine's fifth advantage in terms of manufacturing industry is the legal status of the Jenin industrial zone (CSB), which is being built by TOBB. CSB is designed as a free zone. In Jordan, Egypt and Palestine, there is no other alternative that is both a qiz and a free zone. There is no tax under any name for employees, nor for companies working in the region. Homeland security arrangements are a matter of the company's own. There is no need for internal companies to engage with the government and to speak Arabic. They're just gonna do their job. That's exactly what I said, “Our companies need steps to improve their mobility in the region.” Here's my name.

I think the private sector is extremely active these days to switch from line defense to Sathi defense. What needs to happen is happening. The Palestinian government is preparing to attract investors instead of donors. In this way, Turkey is settling in its own region. Both tight settles.  It's good.
