
Pagev held Brukselde meetings with PlasticsEurope and EuPC associations represented in Turkey.

During the meeting at eupc headquarters in Brussels, the role of plastic packaging in preventing food waste was emphasized, and we exchanged ideas on what to do with other stakeholders, especially retailers. It was emphasized that the orientation of retailers outside the packaging specifically towards the abandonment of labeling ( expiration date confusion ) and cosmetic approaches would make a major contribution to reducing food waste. Again, information on plastic bags, studies carried out, shopping has been made. The meeting with Ingrid Verschueren, the head of Eupc packaging department and the director of EUPC law, was finalized with the aim of establishing joint programs in order to develop mutual relations.
During the trip to the centre of PlasticsEurope in Brussels, the deputy secretary general of the Association and the president of the law Jean-Pierre de Greve were discussed with Martin Engmann, who will replace him after his retirement.
Martin Engelmann, who had been on duty for four days, thanked our Vice President, Yavuz EROGLU, and Jean Pierre for his contribution to the relations during his term of office. In the meeting, we discussed the actions to be taken with the “Marine LTER Declaration”, which was published with the aim of strengthening communication, reducing sea waste and which was signed in Pagev under it.
In addition, it was agreed that the activities of the two associations should be coordinated and that the activities should be mutually supportive. Yavuz Eroğlu, our Vice President , especially, thanked the Mediterranean President, Daniele Ferrari and all PlasticEurope employees for their participation in our conference “plastics for a green world” and the opening of the Plasteuroasia fair.
