A meeting was held at the Aspen Institute, the famous idea Organization of the United States, which is carrying out the secretariat of the “new partnership for the start-up (PNB) program”, which is the starting point of various projects between Turkey and the USA.  Toni G., Middle East Program Director of Aspen Institute, at the meeting entitled” meeting with Turkey's Fastest Growing Companies" Verstandig was the host. Within the scope of the event, information exchange was made between Turkish and US companies. Turkish companies were given the opportunity to take advantage of the opportunities in the U.S. market, while U.S. companies were given information about the business and investment environment in Turkey. 25 companies of Turkey also participated in a panel of four sessions held at the Institute. The first session of the panel discussed what U.S. global companies were paying attention to when choosing foreign partners in their overseas activities. At the panel, led by Hatice Murphy, co-founder of Infuze international, Delphos International Director Syetoslav Gatchev, Vice President of Intellectual Ventures Costas Mallios and Robin Pringle, Corporate Director of Liberty Media, participated in the panel. Panelists stated that the factors such as the level of development of institutional and physical infrastructure, efficiency of judicial system and predictability in tax management are particularly important in determining the countries to which they will invest. Another point that the speakers focused on was that they often prefer to work with companies that could easily adapt to their own ways of doing business.The other panel was about the funding of the U.S. government to foreign companies engaged in trade with U.S. companies. Leila Afas, director of Export Promotion Department of the U.S. trade and Development Agency (USTDA), Alison GATCHEV, director of SME finance at the Foreign Private Investment Organization (OPIC), and Brian Sant'angelo, director of the American export bank (Ex-Im) Regional Director, spoke at the panel under the auspices of Ryan BAMES, Senior Expert of international trade from the US Department of Commerce.

Laila AFAs, USTDA's foreign countries to the U.S. transportation costs by bringing trade delegations, said the U.S. companies have been contacted. Alison gatchev stressed that if companies outside the United States do business with a U.S. partner, they provide credit opportunities under more favorable conditions than market conditions. Brian Sant’ Angelo said that foreign companies offer loans that are very advantageous in financing imports from the United States. According to Angelo,; In the development of economic relations between Turkey and the United States, the promotion of the financing opportunities offered by institutions affiliated to the United States government needs to be made more in Turkey.

The third session was moderated by TOBB US Representative Neslihan Kaptanoğlu and discussed the economic and political pillar of Turkish-American relations.President of Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce and industry (tacci) Celal Selçuk, ups America Eurasia sales director Onur Uranlı and German Marshall Fund of the US Turkey Project Director Dr. Joshua Walker gave a speech. The panelists also expressed their suggestions on the difficulties faced by Turkish and US businessmen in establishing partnerships and the steps they can take to overcome these challenges.

The last session at Aspen Institute was devoted to the experiences of 25 companies in Turkey. TEPAV economic policies analyst and Turkey 25 coordinator Ozan Acar Director General Manager of PI works Başar Akpınar and SEM Plastik General Manager Yavuz Eroğlu took part in the panel as a speaker. The panel evaluated the reasons underlying the rapid growth performance of these companies, and the strategies for the future, as well as what opportunities they are looking for in the U.S. market.
