3-How to obtain PLA
PLA, obtained from all natural and edible sources like corn, provides the properties of other synthetic plastics. Instead of being produced from oil , this new plastic is produced with the sugar obtained from photosynthesis in plants.Following a simple fermentation ,distillation and polymerization process , the sugar obtained from these plants is transformed into the polymers needed by the packaging industry. The use of depleted and scarce fossil resources as oil is a major source of concern today due to its environmental impact and economic effects. In order to guarantee both their economy and their independence , the countries have great opportunities for research, development and implementation of non-oil resources. These studies, which started with the crisis in the early 70s, yielded fruit and today many alternative biomaterials have been discovered and explored. One of the most important of these materials is PLA. It is obtained from natural sources such as PLA Egypt and can be used in the production of thermoform containers , caps, plates, boxes, cups and packaging films. Instead of using renewable biological resources such as corn in a short time, PLA consumes 20% to 50% less fossil resources and protects our environment.
Cornplast series are products made from PLA raw material produced from corn. They come from pure nature and are produced from corn. All cornplast products turn into complete soil within a certain period of time. Sem is produced near you in Turkey. These products have excellent properties. They have high transparency and gloss for excellent food and beverage service. They are resistant to breakage. They are hard and therefore it is possible to design lower weight products that will bring price advantage. They keep the smell and aroma of food in it and can be printed in color on them. These products are ideal for cold food and beverage services. It preserves the image of nature , not the garbage , but also because it turns into soil when it is left to nature. These products leave less “carbon footprint” than today's most important ecological concepts. These products have less greenhouse GHG effect. You will not understand the difference between a glass, plate ,Box , container or lid and other plastics, but these products are a good alternative to the Livable Future of our world, as they are made for environmental impact as well as after corn and garbage, they turn into soil for 6-8 weeks in total.
These products should be stored in dry places and should not be exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
The main raw material of the cornplast series is the story of PLA obtained from corn. The PLA is produced from corn starch obtained from the leaves of Egypt. Carbon dioxide enters the leaves of the plant from the small holes in the leaves of the plant. The veins of the Leaf provide water to the leaf cells . The Sun's energy in the Leaf is stored in small discs called chloroplasts. Chloroplasts produce cells, sugars and oxygen. Plants use sugar as the necessary fuel for themselves. Unused sugar is stored in seeds. Farmers harvest corn and sell corn to Mills. Millers cook corn , corn softens after this process . Corn is cooked at 122 Fahrenheit for 30-40 hours.Waste water is used in other stages of production or stored for the production of caviar feed. The machines grind the corn and segregate the starch by passing this mixture through the filter. Starch is then converted into sugar. Microorganisms then convert this sugar into lactic acid with fermentation. Lactic acid molecules combine to form rings called Lactid monomers. Lactide rings are then opened to form Polylaktid polymers by merging with each other. This process is called polymerization. The material is then brought into the form of grains (granules) in the pyrinc size, which is the form to be used with the convenience of the plastic industry. Then , these granules are processed with special machinery , equipment and information , and transformed into products such as cups , plates , boxes , containers ,and valves.
