‘Mr. Yavuz, you drew the charisma!’
In the following years, my curiosity about running started completely amateurish in 2007, and I continued to run two Semi-Marathon (Antalya and Tarsus) and then Cologne Marathon abroad.
"Mr. Yavuz, you made the charisma!"
In the following years, my curiosity about running started completely amateurish in 2007, and I continued to run two Semi-Marathon (Antalya and Tarsus) and then Cologne Marathon abroad.
During the Cologne marathon I ran in Germany, I liked the organizations especially in the field of social assistance. So, run, human nature exists; birds fly, fish swim, such as healthy people have the ability to run after birth. Running in another sense is one of our most basic needs and motivations. When the baby opens his eyes to the world, he lies and is vulnerable. Then creeps, then take the small path begins to crawl. He walks eventually and then runs... Their ties to the world actually develop together with the phases of this process. “Man; the continuation of the species and civilization, thanks to the ability to run” we would not exaggerate if we used the expression. “Connecting to life, feeling life and celebrating being healthy”, on the other hand, is the foundation of all sports.
When I look at it from this perspective, running is more than sports, it's a big need for me! I can tell you about many different, positive aspects of running. But I'm gonna make some more calls...
RUNNING A DIFFERENT…
My harness that day was very different! Our valuable guests from the finance sector came to visit our company to examine the details before the agreement. The aim of the meeting was to evaluate the technical data of the guest organization we want to make a deal with our financial experts and to create the rating of our company. The meeting, which was important for both sides, was positive. After the work was completed, we decided to go together to a seminar entitled “environment”, which was attended by international panelists with our guests.
I rode in a luxury SUV class vehicle with a black and very serious style in terms of overlapping with the prestige of our company I was the manager. We set off from Tem Highway to Istanbul with 4 guests. After a successful meeting, happiness had solved the language of all of us, busy and fun in the car, but the business seriousness of maintaining a distant conversation began to turn.
My eye must have not seen the car's indicators; I felt that my car was slowing down at the point where the vehicles were cruising in Tem... And we stopped! The guests first looked at each other and then at me. I was having a mini-crisis, I ran out of gas!
At that moment, I remembered the day before I sent the car on duty with our driver. This bad surprise was inevitable when I added My inability to check the gas indicator to chat with our guests along the way. We were standing on the edge of the TEM highway, on the safety lane. Other cars, even worse trucks, trucks were passing by. It was funny that the Horn buzzed like no help. The weather was rainy, the guests were important and serious business people, tem was cruel, and we were about to miss the seminar. By the road, away from the gas stations.
As if nothing happened to our guests, ‘I'm asking you to wait a while’ I got out of the car. I opened the trunk, took off my suit jacket and put on my raincoat when I was running. And after about half an hour, I ran back from the edge of Tem with a gallon of gasoline in my hand.
That day, the jogging that helped me solve my carelessness with minimal inconvenience, on top of that-from what I learned afterwards - allowed me to win even the appreciation of our guests. Because our guests were surprised by the problem when our vehicle stopped, perhaps broken, but as a result, the owner of the business, wearing a raincoat on the suit and running on the highway, at high speed, they had seen the problem solved in a short time. Moreover, thanks to my training, I was tired, attended the seminar with sufficient energy and completed the day in a nice way. The incident remained a sweet memory between the friends in the team and brought us closer to each other. Even one of our guests, the lady can not hold himself, mixed with joke: ‘Mr. Yavuz, you have drawn charisma! when he said, we all laughed.
Your run!
I don't know if running will solve the gasoline problem of your vehicle, save you from a trouble, or, as Ahmet Nazif Zorlu Bey said, “the hospital saves you from running a hospital”, does it make you a friend, or does it save you or your loved ones? But there is one thing I know for sure: you have to be ready to run at all times of life and at any moment!
