SEM Plastik General Manager Yavuz Eroğlu stated that plastics are used safely in almost every sector and offer the best solution for the environment and pointed out that Turkey is growing rapidly in plastic production. Yavuz Eroğlu, plastic packaging sector is very important in terms of pet raw materials, Turkey is a net importer with 156 thousand tons per year, production remains 158 thousand tons in 2012, but will be launched in 2012, thanks to the new pet investment, Turkey's own pet raw materials will produce and will be saved from external dependence, he said.

Eroğlu stated that new investments will have production of over 300 million dollars and 500 thousand tons per year, and given that the need for pet products in Turkey is 300 thousand tons per year, he emphasized that with these investments our country will rise to become an important exporter of pet raw materials by 2015.
