Turkey, II. In the event hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, American Vice President Joe Biden and Vice Prime Minister Mr. Ali Babacan attended the summit. With the participation of Ali Babacan, Turkey's fastest growing companies have also been announced. SEM Plastik, which operates in the thermoform packaging sector and holds the export champion in the sector for the last three years, has been selected as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in Turkey. Between 2008 and 2010, the company recorded an annual average growth of 73 percent, surpassing its competitors and became the fastest growing company in the plastics industry. SEM Plastik is also listed in the regional 500 list of fast-growing companies from Middle East, North Africa and the Near East.
Under the leadership of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the project carried out jointly by the Turkish Economic Policy Research Foundation (TEPAV) and Allwordnetwork aims to bring out the fastest growing, entrepreneurial companies in Turkey.

SEM, which started producing plastic cups and plates by establishing a factory in 2008 with an investment of $ 2 million in Palestine, is the largest producer in the region.
SEM Plastik manufactures food and beverage giants such as Unilever, Danone, Ülker, Sütaş, Pınar, Coca Cola, Pepsi and fastfood chains such as McDonald's and Burgering,Turkish Do&Co and LSG Sky Chefs. Turkish Airlines, Emirates and Singapore Airlines are using the cups, cutlery, food boxes and trays produced by SEM Plastik. Market chains such as Carrefour, Migros, BIM are among SEM Plastik's customers.
