Contribution Of Chemical Industry To Our Living Standard

It is impossible to meet the increase in food demand brought by population growth without the advanced technology of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. If pesticides were not used, one third of food production (one in three Virgo) would be destroyed by diseases caused by insects.

FOOD:

Farmers can't feed a hungry world without chemistry. The main goal of increasing production in the world food industry is to meet the needs of the growing population. It is the English economist Malthus, who saw this problem for the first time and expressed his work “essay on the principles of population” published in 1978. He proposed” birth control “because food production in the world is far below the human population growth.

It is impossible to meet the increase in food demand brought by population growth without the advanced technology of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. If pesticides were not used, one third of food production (one in three Virgo) would be destroyed by diseases caused by insects.

This is almost enough to feed about 2 billion people, more than the total population of China and India.

* The insects are still destroying the product that is stored enough to feed half of Africa.
* Thanks to modern herbicides, it is possible to obtain 2 or 3 rice recolones from the same soil per year.
* Asian farmers can protect their rice for four packs of cigarettes (per hectare per season) from mice.
· Animal plague is about to be eradicated by veterinary medicine.

According to the World Health Organization's (who) report, 4.422 cases in 1971 decreased to 505 cases in 1980. XVII. In the 20th Century, 25% of people in Europe died of the plague.

* Fungicides put an end to diseased apples.

Research in Germany between 1967-1975 found that fruit orchards were 40% less yielding. Apple quality is 35% lower.

· Today consumers can buy food items with quality assurance.

It was very common to find wolves in peas recently. Now even a single wolf in frozen peas is causing the customer to complain.

* Young animals gain weight faster through enzymes that facilitate their digestion.
* A mixture of soil reinforced by chemistry means tons of more products.
HEALTH:

Drugs are technology products that are of great importance in prevention of diseases at individual and community levels and in prevention of diseases. Because of the drugs which are indispensable components of the treatment process, the life expectancy of individuals is prolonged and quality of life is increasing.

The decline in child mortality and the comfortable living of the elderly

According to the World Health Organization,

· The first among the causes of death of children in the world for measles disease vaccination rate in 1980 was 13% in 2008, this rate reached 94%. In this period, incidence of measles cases has decreased by 93%. Because of the measles vaccine, the number of people dying from this disease decreased from 2000-2008 to 78%.
* Polio vaccine, which is common in children under 5 years of age between 1988-2008, has decreased the incidence of polio by 99% ·  Vitamin A supplements have prevented the deaths of 1.2 million children since 1988.
· Pneumonia, the most important cause of death in childhood, causes 1.8 million children to die every year in the world. Early diagnosis and use of antibiotics can prevent the death of 1 million children each year.
· By 2015, 10 million deaths per year can be prevented by the health interventions that are mostly linked to basic drugs.
· Advances in medicine, antibiotics, cancer drugs, vaccines and serums, such as the discovery of the new generation of drugs are among the factors that increase the average life expectancy. The average life expectancy in Turkey in 1990 increased to 74 in 2008.

Chemicals for convenience, diversity and color life

* You can do your daily work in two hours in Chemistry World in another world, maybe 16 hours.
* Ladies do their work according to their tastes. For example, they survived the laundry days with detergents.
· Men can do business like craftsmen. For example, thanks to all kinds of glue found in the tube, no glue boiled as before. They can paint their homes with all kinds of paint available (without polluting them).
· You can follow the sun. Light bags or suitcases, various sun creams, finding healthy drinking water, comfortable clothes and a comfortable trip.
· Convenience in food exchange. Food preservatives, suitable packaging materials, and all of this can be exhibited in a supermarket.
· All kinds of clothing. It is difficult to change the natural fiber and it is not produced enough. Artificial fiber can be produced according to the needs and in large quantities.

It is not entirely natural, as it is said in the natural fiber. Did you see the wool taken from the back of a sheep was used as clothing immediately?

Synthetic fibers are the only way to dress up the increasing world population. We can't produce enough natural fibers without stopping people from feeding.

Color:

· Chemistry also means color. Artificial dyes and pigments are produced for printing, photography and painting.
· Without artificial dyes, our clothes could not have been so different colors. Natural dyes are very expensive and they lose their properties quickly in the face of the effects such as sun, rain and so on.
* Chemistry supplies products to every segment from daily necessities (clothes and perfumes) to punks (hair dye and gels).

Chemicals-manufactured or harmonised chemicals are one of the keystones of the manufacturing industry.

Machinery industry is Europe's largest industrial branch. This sector can not return without the contribution of any wheel chemistry.

* Machines can not be produced without chemicals ·  (degreasing, decoupage, surface cleaning, hardening is based on chemicals.)
· Machines can not move or stop without chemicals. All power transmitters (gasoline, diesel, natural gas) are chemical and are based on chemistry (electricity generation), brake pads, hydraulic oils are chemical.

· Demands are made in the chemical industry for better production. The improvement begins with the introduction of the chemical industry.
· Lighter-instead of metal, plastics are easier to handle.
* Stronger-reinforcing fibers…
* Safer-fire retardant substance addition-chemical extinguishers…
* Less waste, cheaper-paper recycling - ink purification.
· More reliable-clean electronic units to work more healthy…

SOME OUTSTANDING EXAMPLES

1. CAR

Fuel

* Unleaded gasoline, catalytic converters are also based on chemistry.
· Alcohol and methanol use in biofuels…

Fuel Economy

* Plastic use is to make more kilometers with the same fuel ·  Today, 4 million tons of plastic traffic is on the way in Europe. In the next 5 years, this amount can double.
· Keeping vehicles out of the garage (reliability, extending service intervals)
· Tire life has increased 400 times since the cars went on the road (radyal and rubber developed as a chemical).
* Special antifreeze is used against Frost,
· Different oils and wetting agents increase the life of the machines,
· Each liquid in your vehicle is specially prepared chemical.

If you want to be a leader in production or cost, you must first be a leader in chemistry. (CEFIC))

2. Planes

Fuel Economy

· The glaze is to lighten the plane by using chemicals (thanks to composites, the weight of a plane can be reduced by 30%))
· When you're on a plane these days, you can hardly see a metal image! Plastic is superior.

Security

· Chemicals extinguish fires instantly in engines (all Jets have chemical based automatic extinguishing system.)

3. INDUSTRIAL GASES

· Air gas production (used in medicine oxygen, used in welding oxygen, cooling gases, gases providing inert environment, gases for neon lamp.)

4. COMMUNICATION INDUSTRY

Without chemicals, we'd go back to communicating with pigeons or horse messengers.

· Electricity supply through chemicals,
* Electricity-producing cables are chemicals products
· Special glass - sodybumborsilicate-fiber optics are made. These windows are so transparent that when you look at the glass that it's miles thick, you look like you're looking through your window.
· Electronic - cables, connectors, chip’ s written circuits are chemistry.
* Non-chemical, prints and photos. Chemistry is heavy in the field of communication

5. ENVIRONMENT

The high concentration of solid, liquid and gaseous contaminants from various sources in air, water and soil causes the formation of environmental pollution and causes the formation of environmental pollution. To prevent environmental pollution from threatening human health;

* Clean production technologies,
* Reducing waste reduction
* Recycling of wastes as much as possible
· Waste should be disposed of in a way that does not harm the environment in the most appropriate and economical ways.

These are only possible by chemistry science and its methods.

WITHOUT CHEMISTRY

BASIC CHARACTERS OF CHEMICAL INDUSTRY

CHEMISTRY IS EVERYWHERE IN LIFE

If there were no chemistry in the universe, could there be chemical reactions in the sun? Could he warm us up, or could he Light us up? Did ozone layer protect us from the sun? Examples like this can be given. But more importantly, would there be life in the universe and therefore in the world?

LIFE: ENERGY!

From the smallest living beings (autorotrop) to the most advanced (heterotrop), they convert chemical substances (nutrients) in their environment into energy that will sustain their lives with the contribution of both the energy of the sun and oxygen. If this energy does not occur, life cannot continue. People breathing, walking, developing, etc. the energy generated by chemical reactions. In other words, man is a walking reactor that produces energy (like other living things).

The human body and chemical factories do the same thing:

they break down the nutrients.
he brings it together
they produce new substances

The only difference between them is the scale.

CHEMISTRY WORKS FOR HUMANITY

Chemistry, nutrition, dressing, health, hygiene and so forth is one of the branches of science that serves humanity the most. In addition, both home products and personal care products contribute to our daily lives and increases our standard of living.

WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE A TARGET-ORIENTED DISCOVERY OF CHEMISTRY

2 types of research are carried out in the field of chemistry. First, basic research, which is an advanced scientific goal that cannot be easily applied, is reflected in practical reality to solve the problems encountered in the services carried out with the aim of increasing the life levels of today's societies. First of all, it is a science that is so peaceful with itself that it can develop separate disciplines to solve problems that may arise from itself and do long-term studies.…

CHEMISTRY IS A VERSATILE AND SELF-RENEWING SCIENCE.

Chemical, which has been operating in the world for 200 years, provides useful inventions to the service of humanity. The chemical adventure of glass and soap, which began in ancient times, was based on genetic engineering today.

CHEMISTRY IS A SCIENCE.

Knowledge and developments in the field of chemistry, as can be seen in the number of patents, in the form of a geometric series is increasing.
